Tolerates poor soils and salt.
Armeria, or False Sea Pink, is ideal for edging driveways and sidewalks, and tucking in rock gardens. Dense rosettes of evergreen, strap-shaped leaves produce either spherical or cup-shaped flowers atop slender stems. They can grow in poor soil, but prefer a site that drains well. Native to North America.
