Tetraploid. These big, 6 inch, deep purple blooms are so glossy they almost appear artificial. Each flower has a white picotee outlining both the sepals and richly fringed petal edges. At the center of the bloom a green throat blends to a yellow center. Wonderfully vigorous and floriferous plants do especially well in colder areas. Foliage goes dormant in winter.
