Tetraploid. Richly ruffled open flowers are gilded with a bright golden-yellow edge. Standards are medium violet-blue with lighter styles, the falls velvety dark violet-blue with a golden-yellow signal. Grows quickly into nice clumps with good foliage. McEwen 91
